Stagiaire · Design specimen
A visual gut-check for the design tokens defined in docs/design-direction.md. No real content lives here — this page exists only to confirm the typography and palette feel right before any feature is built on top of them.
The same tokens applied to actual restaurants from the seeded directory (658 France- starred restaurants, all with coords and Michelin-written descriptions):
And a sample stagiaire profile (real schema, hand-written test row):
Hero — Fraunces Italic Display, 72px
Mirazur, Menton
Section H2 — Source Serif 4 Light, 36px
The team
Restaurant name on card — Fraunces Italic, 32px
L’Arpège
Body — Source Serif 4, 16/1.6 with old-style figures
A young cook in Mexico City pulls up the globe, finds Mirazur on the cliffs above Menton, sees the team, and requests a two-week stage in March 2026. The chef replies the same evening.
Tag / category — Inter Small Caps, 11px, +0.18em
Michelin · 3 stars · Côte d’Azur
Marquee CTA label — Fraunces Italic Display, 20px
Request a stage
Mono — JetBrains Mono, 12px (timestamps, IDs)
req_3f8c91b0 · 2026-05-01 14:22 UTC
Rosettes drawn as inked map marks rather than filled UI discs. 3-star is the only place Michelin red appears decoratively in the entire product, with a hairline gold-leaf inner ring.
Ledger-tick treatment instead of gold stars — stars are Michelin’s pictography and would muddy the brand on our own reviews.
Primary — standard action
Marquee CTA — the most important button in the product
Secondary — text link with offset hairline
